Utah

Lily and I flew to Utah last month for my Grandpa's funeral.  Though it was sad to visit under the circumstances it was really nice to see my family.  I was having major withdrawals because it has almost been a 1 1/2 years since I had been to Utah (the longest stretch yet!)  I was also happy because I really wanted my family to see Lily at this age (she was 10 months) where she was crawling etc, and because when we visit in July she will probably be walking and be an entirely different baby.  Anyway I wanted to share some pictures for my family.  I am going to do another post about my grandpa and the funeral, for now here are some pictures :)

I told Brady to open his eyes because he was squinting, haha

Lily 11 months

I thought since this little miss is going to 1 in about 2 weeks I should put up her 11 months facts before it is too late!

*Lily loves to eat anything I give her!  She is an awesome eater.  Her favorite things are cheese, blueberries, strawberries and any kind of meat.  The only thing she doesn't seem to like is watermelon.

*  She is really climby (see video below)  much more than Mason ever was, so I think I am in trouble!

* When she plays peek-a-boo, or "where is Lily"  she puts her hands on her head, instead of her eyes.

*She only has 4 teeth, but is currently working on 3 more!

* She has this angry little yell.. it is "EH" really short and really loud.  She does it when she is mad or frustrated.  It really urks me to the bone.

*She is finally better at taking longer naps and sleeping at night, hallelujah!

*She had her first airplane ride to Utah, and she was an angle on the airplane and in SLC.  She slept great while we were there, adjusted to the time change in 1 day!  and let people she had never really met hold and snuggle her.  What a good girl :)

* She has a little lovey that is a bunny thing. She is obsessed with it and won't go to sleep with out it, and a binky

*She can say: mom, dada and "uh-oh"  almost always in context.

*Oh and she loves to be messy, dirt, sand, food, whatever!!!

Okay that is all I can think of for now, I can't believe that she is going to be 1 soon!

First family 5k

A friend in my ward asked if anyone wanted to run a 5k with her.  Since I have never done one and needed some motivation to get to the gym I said yes!  Danny of course wanted to run as well and he decided to push the kids in the double jogging stroller our friend let us borrow.  Here is the before picture with my friend Jen.

Mason and Lily happily snacking

We actually found these pictures on the website for the race, Danny was the most photographed racer!

Danny's time, 26:03 (while pushing 50+ lbs of children)

I jogged next to my friend who ran/walked the entire time.  I felt like I had a lot of energy and could have run the entire thing but I didn't want to leave her.  At the end she let me free and I ran as fast as I could the last mile.  It was pretty fun having my entire body in sync while I focused on the finish line!

 April's time 33:37

It was a small town race which was nice, not too many people.  It was so hot that day which made it a little tougher but that is ok.  We got apple pie and really nice shirts at the end.  Mason and Lily didn't complain while Danny was running which is nice, though Mason was pretty crabby at the end.

Lovely summer light

I love warm summer (spring still I guess) evenings and the beautiful golden light :)

Lily was so proud of herself being able to sit by herself!

Yay, I am so happy I got a picture of the two of them together!

They were happy for a minute :)
