Visit to the Bronx

My Alumni Fordham University was having an alumni dinner for all the past volleyball students at their last home game of the season.  Well the NY Newman's decided to make an appearance which was fun especially because I got to see my teammate Erica!  First we went to our old church building to attend church... turns out they were having stake conference, figures, but we still got to see most of the people that we wanted too.  Though we did have to leave early to attend the big volleyball game :)

Mason really into watching the game

Erica playing with the kids during halftime

Lily really loves to show us her belly button!

Both her and Mason were a little scared of the Ram, haha

Will she be a volleyball player???

Silly kid

No, you are too little to go to school!

Here are some random pictures I took while we were going home :)

Mason's big boy bed

Mason has never tried to crawl out of his crib.  In fact many times when we have needed him to sleep on the floor, like when we go out of town, he freaks out.  Well we decided he was certainly old enough now that he is 3 to handle it and maybe that way he could get out of bed to go potty himself, also get out and play instead of bugging us if it is too early.

He was afraid of falling out so we put a little rail up to stop him which he liked on and off.  Some days he would ask us to take it down, and we would hear him fall out a bed a bunch but he didn't seem to mind.  For about a month he treated his big boy bed like a crib.  He would make us put him in and get him out.  It was pretty funny and I am kind of glad he wasn't trying to get out of going to bed by walking around his room.

*update*
As of January Mason sleeps in his big boy bed with out the rail and hardly falls out and is also great at keeping the blanket on him at night.  He does get up a lot to play with toys and tries to get out of going to bed, but he is mostly quite so that is ok.  It is also really great now because he will get up to go potty by himself and in the morning he will go downstairs and play with his toys or turn on the tv!
