The lake came up about 20 feet this year so we said bye bye to the beautiful 100 yards of sandy beach and said hello to our private marina! It was so nice to be able to jump in the boat at will and not have to tow it in every night. Though I will say I do miss that lovely beach!
The kids did better this year with being on the boat. They complained a little bit with the life jackets but for the most part were pretty good. They both loved to watch people wakeboard and espeically loved it when that said person fell down :) They also enjoyed trying to see fish in the marina and watch the water spray up and hit the boat when we went fast.
Mason willingly jumped in the lake to swim. It took him a minute to get used to the cooler water but then he loved it!
Miss Lily also wanted to jump in because Mason did. She however, did not like it so much!
Papa even joined in on the fun :)
Lily not so happy to be in the water...
But she did enjoy watching everyone else play!
Oh and funny story not caught on film. Mason was really obsessed with wanting to push papa/daddy/brigham ANYONE off the boat and into the water. He thinks it is pretty much the best idea in the world. Finally papa let Mason push him in and it was great fun.
Well Lily wanted to join in on the fun.
But she would push, and grab onto papa. The first time I was ready and I grabbed her so she didn't go in. The second time Danny was in charge. He grabbed her leg but she was wet so she slipped right out of his hand and into the water on top of papa.
She didn't like that, haha. It was sad and funny, poor girl. (She had a life jacket on so no worries) Luckily we got her in the water a little while later with me and she was happier, I didn't want her to gain any fear of the lake!
