Danny, Mason and I are currently in Seattle and the internet is iffy here... no pictures today but I thought I would give an update.

For those of you who do not live in New York, last weekend we had a crazy storm. We got around an inch of ice, doesn't seem like much but knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of people including us. We didn't have power for almost 48 hours and that means super fun when you have a 1 year old and the house got down the the high 30's!!!!!!! Luckily some friends in our ward had power and let us and another family stay over, which was fun and crazy with all the kids running around. Mason loved playing with all his new friends. I didn't take any pictures because I am special :)

This was Mason's second vacation on an airplane... the first time he was 8 months old and did great, he happily sat in my lap the whole time. Apparently it is different when you have a 14 month old who can walk!!!! Overall given the circumstances ( 6 hours to Seattle) he did really well, only a couple small tantrums. Oh and he would try to steal things or throw things at the kid sitting next to us in the window seat, haha.

We have had fun in Seattle so far, Mason loves his aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. He will pretty much play with anybody that will give him attention. Here is a link from Uncle David and Aunt Julie's blog with a video of Mason playing with his uncle David.

The weather has been pretty crazy here, and Christmas has been canceled! Well not really but both sides of the family decided to have their Christmas parties this weekend so Danny, Mason and I could come but the snow ruined our fun :( oh well...

Oh and Danny and I plus his brother David and sister Kristi got this nasty stomach flu on Friday... and today (Sunday) his dad and grandparents are sick, yikes so far Mason is unscathed and I hope it stays that way.

Is it snowing a lot in New York? I got an email that they canceled church... I wonder how much is at our house? It is weird because all the places we live or are visiting is getting dumped on, haha funny. I hope our plane won't be canceled when we go to SLC on Tuesday!!!! Okay fun fun sorry this has been so long, I will put pictures up someday.

Oh and we are lazy and are not sending Christmas cards, but know we still love you all :)

I don't know if you remember, but there was this really bad storm like ten years ago, and the power was out at my house for 4 days and my mom was out of town so Mark and I stayed at your house. My dad stayed in my house and it was super cold, like in the 20's. It's a good thing there are places to go when things like that happen.

We are going to be in SLC on Tuesday also. We need to get together. I would love to meet your hubby and little one. Hopefully you are not crammed with family activities. Let me know.

I was wondering about you guys and the power when I saw something about that storm on the news. And I'm impressed you dared take Mason on that long flight without drugging him or something. We fly to Portland on Wednesday, and I know Bridget will be a challenge even though it's not nearly as long of a flight. And it's snowing like crazy here today so I hope you can get here tomorrow.
