hmmmmm

At the doctors

Well this week we were still sick unfortunately.  I took Oliver to the doctor Monday morning to make sure he didn't have an ear infection and turns out he had a sinus infection.  I am not always thrilled with that diagnosis because it sounds like, oh he has been sick for x amount of days he must have a sinus infection.  I held off for a few hours from giving him the prescription to see if I could find a more natural way to heal him rather than killing all the good bacteria in his body.  But in the end I gave in because he was acting so sick.

Mason found the wolf at trader joes, he was so excited!

Good thing I am nursing him because that is all the food he has had all week!  Oh that is one of the annoying things about antibiotics is how it upsets his little belly.  He has had diarrhea and won't eat anything, so I can't help him feel better, I have tried bananas, yogurt, kefir, probiotic ANYTHING!  He has been running around naked alot because that is the only thing to cure the terrible diaper rash :( The other kicker is that I got sick this week.  AHHH I don't have time for this.  I am still sick too which sucks, I am hoping I don't have a sinus infection too because my head feels so miserable.

yay, it is warm outside

But to the fun news, we had one warm day which was awesome.  All winter Oliver has stared longingly to the back deck and he finally got to go and play on it.  Of course he ran straight to the balls and started throwing them around.  It was nice to sit in the sun and get some vitamin D.  Mason and Lily were really cute and played with Oliver and would fetch it for him when he threw it  off the deck.  He was really cute with the little step he would turn around on his belly like he supposed to on the stairs, even though he hardly does that on our actual stairs!

hug until you are friends again, it almost worked, hahaha

Today is St. Patricks Day and a little leprechaun did some fun stuff.  He made a rainbow out of the kids toys which Danny called "organized chaos" and then that little guy made a picture scavenger hunt for the kids that ended in treasure.  I am glad the leprechaun abided by the house rules of no treats with artificial colors :)  We have a video I will post soon.

my lunch one day, i thought it was pretty

On Saturday Danny ran in a 5K kilt run.  Unfortunately we couldn't find Danny a kilt which was a bummer.  Danny loves to push the kids so Mason and Lily got to go for the ride.  The best and crazy part is that it was 28 degrees outside, but he still managed to finish in 25 minutes, he is amazing.  Oh the kids total combined weight is 87lbs!!!!  We were a little late to the race but Danny still managed to pass a whole bunch of people and as he did Mason said "toodles"  At some point in the race Lily lost her blanket and Danny didn't notice, a few minutes after he finished another runner came up and gave him the blanket!  That was really nice for someone to run with it and return it.  The poor girl was freezing though!  We didn't stay long after that even though there were some other fun activities mostly because we were freeeeeezing!  So yes Danny is amazing :)

oh my sweet snuggly boy

Lily likes to make and egg mac sandwich everyone morning with Danny.  She gets out all the ingredients and puts the bread in the toaster and lines up all the ingredients all while sitting on the counter.  Danny is curious if it really is her favorite breakfast to eat or if it is her favorite because she LOVES to help :)

the outdoors and balls make him so happy!

Oliver hasn't ever been a snuggly baby but the last couple weeks being sick has turned him into a snuggler.  He will snuggle with Danny on the couch until it is breakfast time while I take a nap up in my bed.  I hope that the snuggling will last after he is better but I prefer him to be happy if I have to choose between the 2.

running free to get rid of his diaper rash

Oliver also learned the sign please which was cute.  And he can say ball, mama and I am pretty sure Ralph as "ra".  He loves to play with cars and balls.

My favorite quote from Lily this week:
Me:  Lily can you go to the bathroom before we leave
Lily: No its ok, I went last year :)

danny running the 5k Kilt run

I realize I didn't say much about Mason this week.  He is awesome, reading well, getting in too many fights with Lily, but besides that is great with Oliver and is a super helper if I need something which is great!  I think he is going through and egotistical phase.  I am sure I learned something about this in child development some time or another in my studies.  He thinks EVERYTHING revolves around him, is being said about him, should include him etc.  Examples; When we are eating and Lily shoves everything in her face quick to eat it he assumes it is because she wants to beat him at eating, not because she wants to go play.  Every noise Lily makes, good or bad is apparently directed at him and always ends in a fight.  Don't get me wrong Lily does push his buttons but she isn't doing it as much as he thinks. Anything I am talking about to another person he has to know what it is what is going on and if I was talking about him.  Sometimes it is cute, sometimes annoying, but I love him.

Lily taking really good care of her babies during rest time

Mason is so cute when we drive in the car.  He says something like "mom do you want to talk about nature with me"  and it ends up being him telling me stuff he learned on Wild Kratts.  Today on the way home from church he asked if I wanted to talk about space or nature.  I said space and he said "well I don't know much about space but we can talk about it if you want"  haha.  Then we had discussions about metors and how pluto isn't a planet anymore.

the rainbow left by the leprechaun

He is still good as ever at following the rules.  Today it was taking me a long time to make dinner because Danny was working on the car and Oliver was being a pill so I made the kids quesidillas.  While I was finishing the enchiladas for Danny and I asked Danny if he could cut up a pepper or some veggtable for them since I hadn't done that yet.  A minute later Danny asked if they wanted a roll with honey.  I was annoyed because I said a pepper for a reason as they hadn't had much veggies today but I let it slide because I was tired and tying to get dinner done.  Lily was happy to have a roll but Mason insisted he have a some peppers first since that is what I said, what a good boy :)

Lily is a really good helper at the grocery store!

The past sick week

I am going to try a new thing where I update the blog every Sunday (and yes not just back dating, sorry to all of you on a reader or email that have received the millions of updates the last little while)  This blog has taken a major back seat since having Oliver and starting my photography business.  Last Sunday we got out some of the past years blog books that I have made and I saw how happy it made Mason and Lily to be able to look through the books.  So I am not ready to give this up yet, because it is a great family journal but it is also keeps the family updated all over the country.

Lily dressed as Mirada from Brave

This week was the first week that my kids have been really sick this winter so I am glad that we held out this long.  I thank the green smoothies and kefir that is keeping them healthy.  Anyway on Tuesday night we heard Mason yelling in his bed and Danny got there right in time to catch throw up in the blanket.  We let Mason sleep on the little mattress in our room that night incase he needed to puke again but he never did.  He woke up feeling fine, eating normal and running around like crazy so I just chalked it up to a fluke.  He tends to have the weakest stomach of all the kids so it could just be something he ate or from coughing too hard which he was doing.

His curly mullet

So after that random throw up all was well until Friday.  Mason woke up in the middle of the night from coughing and his eyes wouldn't open.  Oh great, pink eye I was thinking and the cold that he had was getting worse.  (at different times this winter the kids would have a little runny nose or cough but I wouldn't have called them sick since they acted fine so I am not counting that as "really sick")  In the morning I checked out his eyes and they were a little red and glazed over but not terribly bad or gooey.  I decided to take him to the doctor anyway because it was Friday and I didn't want to end up with pink eye on Saturday morning, we didn't have time Saturday as Danny had a basket ball tournament and I had a photo session.

His climbing skills

When I took him the doctor wasn't sure it was pink eye but was concerned that his ear could turn into an infection any time.  She said it just didn't "look right" and she didn't trust it.  And if he did have an ear infection it could make the eyes gooey.  So I left with 2 prescriptions one for the pink eye if it got worse and one for an antibiotic incase he said his ear started hurting which it hadn't yet.  I was a little disappointed that she was so quick with the antibiotics as the doctors office doesn't want to give it out as much and really I don't like what they do.  If he ended up with an ear infection I would have tried healing it naturally unless he was in terrible pain.  Luckily his ear never really bothered him but his eyes, oh his eyes!  I am glad I followed my instincts because I kid you not at 5:30pm (you know, right when the doctors office closed) he eyes were gooey like crazy, and he was so whiney and said his eyes hurt.  Danny ran and got the prescriptions filled and we got the drops in his eyes.  I made him wash his hands like crazy and I tried to stay away from him since I had a newborn shoot the next day and I didn't want to wake up with gooey eyes myself :)

He was totally flirting with the baby at the next table, it was the cutest thing ever :)

Oh and this week I decided for once and for all that Oliver was sleeping ALLLLLL the way through the night.  I couple of months ago I had him cry it out so he was sleeping 8-5 but I need 8-7.  So we have been crying it out this week and it went well.  On Thursday night he slept from 8-7:30 and never woke up once, I never even heard him cry it was amazing (too bad Mason got me up with his gooey eyes, ha!) So Friday night I was hoping for the same thing but I didn't get my hopes up and he ended up crying at 4:30 am which was a totally normal time for him to wake up before.  Well I decided I wasn't going to go to him for at least 10 minutes to give him a lovey and binky.  At about the 5 or 6 minute mark he went back to sleep.  AWESOME, I never had to get out of bed :)  Yay for Crying it out!

Danny let Oliver chew on a nail polish bottle.  Oliver throws things.  Oliver threw the nail polish bottle.  It broke.  It ruined the floor.  Danny was "watching" Oliver when it happened :)

He ended up waking up at 6:30 which is fine, and went in and started nursing him and I smelled something funny.  I was really drowsy still so didn't think much about it but then it hit me it smelled like throw up.  Well yup, he slept in his own vomit.  I feel bad because it most likely happened at 4:30 when he was crying.  But really I wouldn't have changed anything since I have been having him crying it out anyway and my other kids have slept in throw up so I guess it was his turn (sorry sweetie)  Danny wasn't too thrilled that I got him up at 6:45 to give him a bath while I cleaned up the bed :)  But the crazy thing again is that Oliver acted fine, he ate breakfast he was happy.  So again I chalked it up to a fluke because really I deny my kids are sick until they are really sick :)

Mason likes to play on the iPad under a blanket

So on Saturday after getting up early with Oliver, Danny headed to his basketball tournament, came back just in time for me to leave for my photo session and all was well.  Mason was acting a little better but I can tell he is still sick with the cold, Oliver is fine and Lily is great.  My sweet Lily no runny nose, or cough or throw up, what a good girl!  Welp no!  She decided to throw up her lunch and everything before.  Luckily she was by me and I could tell she was trying to hold it in.  I grabbed the wipe box and threw out all the wipes so she would have something to throw up in.  And my sweet Mason saw us and ran to get the throw up bowl, he is wonderful!  So now she is sick so I guess I can't chalk the throw up to a fluke!  I put her on the couch and turned on a movie and set the bowl by her but she was acting fine.  I gave her some water because that is my trick to see if they are going to throw up more.  Well she didn't right away so I thought that it was like Mason and Oliver just one time.

Mason visualized, planned and executed this rocket ship out of lincon logs all by himself.  He is my little engineer :)

Its a good thing I kept the bowl by her, because I walked by a little later and there was throw up in there.  She didn't even say anything, yikes!  And then a while later she was walking around and started at it again on the floor.  Oh boy, sorry for the details but that is life :)  She went to bed early that night (well we all did because of day light savings) and then she was waking up a few times last night to get some drinks.  I could tell she felt better at 2 am because she was having a party in the bathroom and getting some water haha :)

Lily deciding to wear all of her bows

AND THEN  Saturday night when I was nursing Oliver before bed he fell asleep which he never does when I nurse him and I felt that he was warm.  GREAT, another sick kid.  He worries me a little more because he has been sick for the last 2 weeks.  He has had a cough and runny buggery nose.  I don't want to bring him to the doctor because they will just want to put him on antiobtics for a "sinus infection" I am sure.  But the fever has me worried.  We all stayed home from church today and Oliver has been super clingy.  I will wait one more day to see if the fever goes away and he feels better before I take him in (or if he is super crabby tonight) I am worried that he could have a secondary infection of some sort since he has been sick for the last couple of weeks.  But the extra snuggles and sleep have been nice today.

On my walk with Lily

On a more positive note we got to play with our little friend Ella one of the days which was fun.  Lily is so cute with her and treats her like a baby and wants to take care of her.  She even tried carrying her around a few times which Ella was not too sure about.  But Lily loved playing with her and having a little person follow her directions.  She is used to Mason telling her what to do when the play, and Oliver obviously doesn't listen yet :)

Lily playing with Ella

We had snow this week, close to 6 inches but we never really got to enjoy it because of the sickness.  And then it was 50 degrees for 2 days so the snow melted but we couldn't really enjoy the warm weather because again we have been sick.  Mason is counting down the days until it is Spring on March 20 as we have it marked on the calendar.  He told me today "I am done with the snow and being cold, can it please be spring"  I am right with you kid though I didn't have the heart to tell him that Mother Nature doesn't always listen but hopefully she does :)

Oliver is as crazy as ever, he has mastered the pushing of the kitchen chairs which is awful because I have to either keep the counters clean (which lets face it, we are talking about me here) Or lock him out of the kitchen which makes him mad.  It is funny because I put the chairs in the middle of the room and he will either push the chairs to the sink or the table.  Every time he pushes it to the table he gets it all the way under the table then tries to climb on the chair which is now under the table and gets mad because he is hitting his on the table, hahaha.  Then he gets extra mad when I drag him and the chair away from his goal.

I went for a walk with Lily today in the sun since she is feeling better.  She loved finding puddles to jump in and wanted every rock and stick she could find.  She also liked finding which snow was clean for her to dip her finger in to lick.  On the way we made up a princess story which was a mix of beauty and the beast and tinker bell.  I love her little imagination.    Her story went something like this " Princess Ameana and Spike was the prince.  They lived in a castle and they danced and danced (as she dances) then there was a beast and they killed him.  And then the beast was nice and he came back to life.  Then there was a room with butterflies and they danced and danced.  Then end.

update

Well it seems that most of January and all of February has passed me by with out updates.  This poor blog is certainly taking a back seat to other things in my life but hopefully I can update it and get 2012 printed out.  Mason, Lily and Danny are currently looking at old blog books and cracking up. I know it is worth the hassle to record our family journal in this way!

At least one of them was excited to hold hands :)

The other day Danny was watching the kids while I went to girls night.  I got a text about an hour after I had left saying

"One of the kids locked the bedroom doors while the Yeager's were over, so while all inside we couldn't get out when Lily shut the door on us.  First thing Mason suggested was to say another prayer."

I have to confess when I first read this I started giggling and then I called to make sure he got out ok.  In case any of you are wondering a while back we turned the door knobs around so you can lock people into rooms, we did it 1. to lock Lily in her to go to sleep and then 2. because she kept locking herself in and it was getting annoying.  Danny didn't have his cell phone in the room with him but found something in the room that worked to open the door.  I think it is really sweet that the first thing that popped into Mason's head was to say a prayer, what a good kid I have!

Green smoothie stealer :)  He loves them!

Oliver is as cute as ever.  He loves to climb everything and the other day finally figured out how to climb onto the table, ahhhh.  We solved it by putting all the chairs together in the middle of the kitchen so he could just play on those, and then just 2 days ago he figured out how to push those chairs to where he wants.  He gets really mad because he pushes a chair where he wants then gets on and then I move the chair back to where it was, hahahahaha.  I haven't been very consistent with the signing which I should do better because he is screaming a lot but he is starting to follow directions a little, like if I ask him to give me something, to sit down or lay down to change his diaper so that is cute.  I asked him to go give some garbage to daddy and he did it!  Darling :)  He is still waking up at least 1 time at night to nurse and is nursing still a ton, which is ok with me (besides the nighttime feeding) because I know it is better for him than cows milk, I am hesitant to give him that right now so I am just going to continue to nurse him especially through the winter.

Yes she is my gorgeous snow flake!

My beautiful Lily is as crazy as ever.  She is learning how to write her name and loves to sing songs.  She has an amazing memory for songs and I am impressed at all the things she sings through out the day.  She loves to play with Mason and Oliver, really anyone who will give her attention.  She still loves to watch princess movies and loves to dress up herself and me and danny.  She often brings over a blanket and puts it across my shoulders and gives me a crown and announces I am the queen.  She likes to say funny prayers or sing songs wrong on purpose to make Mason and I laugh.  Mason always looks at me with this cute little smile shaking his head and saying silly Lily.

Instagram picture of a picture of my computer screen, maybe one day I will actually get to culling through my personal pictures I take!

Mason loves learning new things things, just the other day he was saying that whenever we are in the car he wants to talk about nature the whole time.  We start talking about different things and he always ends up telling me the stuff he learns on Wild Kratts (a PBS show) so thank you wild Kratts for teaching Mason so many wonderful things.  Currently we are about halfway through the book "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons"  he is doing really well and is able to read short paragraphs by himself now, he still needs to sound out a lot of the words but is starting to recognize some by sight and repetition.  It is exciting teaching him to read and watch him succeed.  We have been reading "Go Dog Go" during rest time a couple pages at a time and he does well with the sounds he as learned!

All my kids have mullets.  This picture is a little old, it is getting curlier by the minute :)  We may have another curly head on our hands!

Danny is a super dad, he has been getting up in the morning with the kids and feeding them breakfast so I can take a quick power nap before I have to start the day after getting up a few times during the night.  Hopefully some day soon we can trade off sleeping in like we used to :)  He also does a really great job playing with the kids when he gets home.  I feel like a bad mom because I am not really great at the sit down and playing.  I like teaching them things, art projects, play doh.  But sitting down in imaginative play is really hard for me.  I guess that means that my kids have something else to learn from me :)  The other day Mason really wanted to do some Yoga so Danny found some pictures on the ipad and they sat and did it for about an hour.  Mason even focused really well on his breathing which was cute.  There are a few pictures down below, it was hilarious because Danny and Mason would be so calm and in the zone and Lily would try it for a second and then climb all over Danny!

Lily and Kaylie are queens out for a stroll on their horses!

Danny is really enjoying serving as the Young Men's president in our ward and is always planning fun stuff.  It is probably the perfect calling for him and I was so worried when he was first call a couple of years ago that he would be gone too much but really it hasn't been bad at all, the only thing that is crazy for me is Sundays because he has so many meetings but Danny is doing better about helping to and from the car so that is good :)  My calling as the nursery leader is getting better I was having a hard time feeling that that was the right calling for me at first because lets face it I have a nursery with me all the time :)  but it has been going very well and that is mostly due to the wonderful other women in there with me!  The kids are are really cute too now that we don't have any more criers :)  The only time I get a little batty is when we try and teach a lesson but that is how it should be right!

Mason during rest time, he set up all these toys just to take a picture :)

Well that is all I can think about right now, so enjoy this little update :)  I hope all my friends and family are doing well and curious if any one even looks at this anymore since I don't update it often any more. Let me know, I may make it private but I don't want it to be hard for my grandparents to check it.  Anyway  here are a few more pictures, I was trying to think of a subject between each pictures but I won't push it, this is already lengthy as it is!  xoxo

Rest time

Here is a little video I put together of clips I took last October, sadly I haven't had time to play with them until now :)  (and sorry to all of you who look at a reader and you have been getting million of updates from me as I back date and fill in the giant 6 month gap!)

Anyway I wanted to play with the video on my big girl camera, so I snuck around while my kids had nap/rest time one day.  Sorry it is a little shaky I am not good at holding the camera still and I am still learning different techniques but it was fun to play with it!  My kids are cute :)

Ramblings about food and the kids

Mason and Lily's lunch
Happy New Year!  Here is a lengthy update!

For the last few months I have been trying really hard to cut out processed foods eat more veggies etc.  The kids and Danny have been doing really well.  Since new years I have really taken it to a different level where the kids and Danny drink a green smoothie everyday and eat a salad at dinner before the "main course." Some days are good and some are bad.  It is frustrating to get my kids to eat the salad but I am not going to give in because I know they can learn to like it (and have liked it somedays).  I tried a really yummy salad tonight but the salad dressing had vinegar and I don't think the kids liked that.  I think I am going to just give them salad without dressing and see if they will eat that since they are so good at eating plain veggies anyway at lunch.  They liked the homemade ranch I did the other day maybe I just need to do more of that.  Besides the salad fiasco they are really great at drinking green smoothies, I am slowly making the ratio to be 50/50 fruits and veggies but I think we are still at about 60/40.  It is crazy how many greens we are going through but I am happy because I can see the benefits already.

Lily and her twin, Mirida from the movie BRAVE
The benefits including Lily's behavior is turning for the better.  Now don't get me wrong she was never too bad but I can tell she is happier, listens more and so playful and excited about everything.  Tantrums have reduced DRAMATICALLY for her.  It really is amazing I keep telling Danny that Lily had such a great day.  It could be a phase but I have to think it has to do with the food. She LOVEs to help me do anything, especially prepare the meals.  And all of the sudden instead of fighting the smoothies she drinks them right up in about 5 minutes it is great.  She is so fun and princessy.  I love watching the new tinkerbell movie with her ( I LOVE the tinkerbell movies!)  Lily is always excited about everything and she comes up to tell me how beautiful I am, ahh I just love her!  Her cousin gave her a cute tea set for Christmas that changes color when you add ice water.  She often comes up to me to "play tea with her" and she brings me a little cup with water in it.  She is doing great at being careful and not spilling.  She loves pouring the "tea" herself it is really cute.  I love the way she says things still, some of my favorites are "mommy I want to hold you" (when she wants me to hold her) "its ok mom we can do it to-later" (I think she got that from tomorrow, it is so cute that she adds the "to" in front of it)  When I ask her to do something or if she wants something she always responds with "sure" example "will you get me a diaper" sure "do you want to eat lunch" sure "will you be nice to Oliver" sure.  When we go shopping everything she sees is "adorable" or "gorgeous" and she says it so girly and sing songy "oh mom look this is adorable" "oh so adorable"  Lily loves her daddy and demands a hug and kiss everyday before he leaves and gets so excited and runs to the door or outside when he comes home.  Her hair is funny in the winter, the dry static air is zapping out the curls.  But it does make it look really long.

Lily getting into my makeup while I was at the store and Danny was "watching" her
Mason is doing well eating all the stuff I give him mostly because I explain that it is healthy and he wants to be healthy.  Don't get me wrong when preschool parents bring lucky charms or ICE CREAM (what the heck) as a pre-k snack he will gobble it right up!  He is like his daddy and wants to know WHY and he will be good.  He also likes to follow the rules so I told him a new rule at our house is to eat a smoothie everyday and a salad and so he goes with it especially if I remind him about it.

Mason's green smoothie lip and forehead mustache
Mason is so sweet, the other day he told me that he didn't think that santa had brought the presents that "santa" left for them Christmas morning.  I asked him why he thought that he he whispered to me "remember the other day when Lily and I were fighting, Santa doesn't bring toys if you aren't good so it must not have been him who brought them"  Oh goodness I just wanted to squeeze him tight because he is such a good boy.  I told him that it was ok, I talked to Santa and I know he is good most of the time even if we should try and fight with Lily less.  Part of my wanted to spill the beans right then and there but that would have made him sad.  And even if I don't totally like the idea of Santa I am not ready to make the leap and tell him the truth just yet.  The craziest part was that Danny and I never said "if you aren't good santa won't bring you toys" and we don't do elf on the shelf but I am sure he learned that concept from Christmas songs and Christmas movies.

He is a flying ninja, this is his battle face!
I can always trust Mason to do what I ask and follow the rules it is so great.  Mason has so much fun with Oliver and Oliver LOVEs him.  Auntie Keri got Oliver this little car bike thing that Ollie can push around or sit on it and be pushed.  Mason loves to push him on it.  Mason is so patient with him, I am wondering how long that will last because he certainly not patient with Lily haha.  Lily pushes his buttons so easily it verges on the point of hilarious.  I hope one day he will learn not to react so badly and she would stop but that is not likely to happen.

More flying ninja, notice the change of cloths, he thinks he is funny!
I am teaching Mason to read using this book.  I really like it and I am so glad my good friend told me about it.  Mason has been wanting to learn to read for a while and I had tried a few different things but so far this book has been the best.  I just need something to guide ME as well as him.  We have only been doing it for a couple of weeks and even though he does it begrudgingly somedays I can see him sounding things out and writing words by sound which is cool.  I would love to have him reading well for his age before he goes to kindergarden.  He can now count to 100 all by himself and he does it all the time.  He got a watch from cousin Judah for Christmas he tells me what time it is ALL the time, like every minute.  It can be annoying but he is learning his numbers faster with it so that is good.

Lily likes to get Danny and I "ready" for everything it is very sweet
Oliver that cute little stinker.  He got really sick right before Christmas.  I even ended up taking him to the ER because it was a Saturday night and his fever was high and he kept turning pale with bluish lips.  Everything was fine and the doctor thinks he was have "chills" from the fever since the pale/blue thing would come and go.  It was my first visit to the ER and hopefully the last one for a while, I was there for 3 hours, yikes.  It was funny because he was very sick and snuggly when we first got there but I had given him a dose of tylenol before we left.  About 45 minutes into the event I could tell the fever broke because he was crawling around and being so happy.  Then about 45 minutes after that he got feverish and snuggly again, poor baby.  I think he had roseola because a few days after his fever finally broke he got a rash all over his back and belly.  Either Lily or Mason had that at one point so I am glad to know what it was and didn't freak out because it was Christmas Day haha.

Oliver asleep on me at the ER
Because of being sick and then right after cutting a tooth he was sleeping was terrible (up anywhere from 2-6 times a night!).  He would only go to sleep if I nursed him first, which was fine when he was sick with such a high fever, but it lasted way to long after that.  The funny thing is that he wasn't actually nursing to sleep.  He would nurse then I would give him a binky and lovely in his bed awake and he would go back to sleep.  Well I am over it now that the tooth is cut and he is healthy so he has been crying it out again.  The last few nights have been rough but he is getting better.  He slept 9 straight hours last night.  My goal is 11 which I know is possible because I am pretty sure Mason and Lily were sleeping about 12 hours at this age.

Wide awake at 10pm, when you are sick you get what you want apparently!
Like I said earlier Oliver got that bike thing from aunt Keri and I think it is the best present yet.  He LOVES it, he will push it around everywhere he goes "ride it" and sit on it like a chair.  He loves to sit on things.  He has been taking steps for a while but never really more than 2 or 3 at a time and then he stopped doing it completely.  I was just telling my friend Allison yesterday that he forgot how to walk and then I am not kidding you later that night he started walking around the kitchen.  It was so funny.  I finally got it on video when I bribed him with a cracker.  He now is walking around the house 50% of the time, crawling is still faster so we will see how long it is until he is walking full time.  Oh incase any of you are curious he is 11months old, I can't believe he will be 1 in a few weeks!!!

His favorite toy that car/bike thing.  He is also taking to crawling/walking around with things in his mouth haha
He is so cute and his personality is really starting to show.  He is taking on to signs a little which is fun. He waves hi and bye and is learning to blow kisses but really he just presses his hands to his face and squishes it.  He loves to clap and loves to shake his head back and forth.  Oh goodness I love him even if he doesn't sleep haha.

Alrighty that is a lengthy update, bravo to you if you read all the way through :)
