A few questions...

I have some questions to you experienced mommies or inexperienced or opinionated people out there.

How old do you think a child needs to be to start getting time outs? And how do you handle them? We are having issues with hitting and throwing large metal objects across the room.

How did you deal with sharing issues? Now I know alot of you are probably rolling your eyes and thinking oh dear April your fun is just beginning... and I get that and I know it is normal for his age. I am just curious what you might do, or if there is some secret I am missing out on.

I want to start making bread (I know, so domestic of me!) and I want to get a mixer, any suggestions? I am leaning toward a Kitchen aid stand mixer.

Do you use coupons? Where do you get/find them? I have been reading food storage blogs and they say buy when its on sale with coupons, so its cheap... well where are you getting them coupons?

Okay that is all, I would love to hear answers to any questions if you are willing :)

This is my opinion..
I do couponsense (www.couponsense.com) and save lots of money doing it. I get my coupons from the Sunday paper (I get 6 copies of the Sunday paper). Granted I buy the brand names that I would never have bought otherwise. It definitely pays for itself. They have great ideas on storing them, etc.
2nd I love my kitchenaid. i use it constantly.

Ummm...I love my kitchenaid, that is the way to go.

As for coupons. I can't hack it but many people love it.

As for timeouts. Much research has said that starting before two years old is not effective. Once they hit two years old you have them sit in time out for as many minutes as how old they are (so 2 minutes if they are 2). You need to have them sit in a place where you can see them so they are not scared or worried by it. You also need to explain to them before putting them there why they have to sit there. Have to give a really good explanation before and then ask them why they sat there after the fact to make sure they understand.

Honestly, I love my Kitchen Aid for making cookies and cakes and such, but it does not do the trick for bread like my Bosch does.

For me, the Bosch is for making bread. Here is a link to the model I have:

http://www.boschappliances.com/kitchen-appliances-consumer-products_small-appliances_food-prep-mixers-blenders_compact-kitchen-machines_MUM4405UC.html

The great thing about it is that it's not too heavy or bulky, but it kneads thick dough like butta. Mine was my grandmothers, and probably older than me, but it still runs like a champ!

I love my Kitchenaid plus you can get them in cool colors! If you go with a Kitchenaid you should check Bed bath and beyond because you can use there 20 % off coupon and they normally have some kind of a rebate offer.

As for the behavior issue I didn't start time out until a few weeks ago and Phillip still doesn't fully understand, so I normally redirect him to more productive things like coloring or reading, etc. Good luck!

Hey April! I can not answer the first question. I put Kiya in time-out when she was really little (when she needed it) and I hated doing it and Joshua should go in time-out but doesn't go often enough. I do it all wrong I am sure. Just distract until they really understand what time-out is.
As for the 2nd question....Kitchen Aid!!! Spend the money...it will last you forever and they have tons of attachments you can use. My sister who is almost 40 has one she has been using since she was 16. Serious.
Good luck on the time-out thing. I find that if I put myself in time-out I am a better Mommy. Ha ha :)
