Christmas

Hi there, is anyone out there?!?  It has been so long since I updated this blog.  I hope this next coming year to be better, especially now that I am wrapping up my 365 project!

Here are some pictures from Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas.  Sad to say I didn't take any pictures of the kids on Christmas Day, oops!  I did get some video though :)

Christmas Eve our good friends invited us over for some yummy, YUMMY!  dinner.  She is from Puerto Rico and had the yummiest pork and rice and beans, plus some other ethnic food.  Oh man it was so good.  The kids had a fun time terrorizing the house and playing with the other kids.  Then we came home for our Christmas tradition of opening one present.  It was tricking getting Mason to understand that I got to choose the present, not him, haha.

Opening one present each on Christmas Eve (Mason ended up opening both Danny and mine too!)

 Christmas jammas yay!

Cuties, even if they weren't terribly excited about getting their picture taken :)

Our Christmas tree, can you see how the bottom half ended up with no decorations, that is thanks to my cute 18month old!
I guess the kids were good, because Santa spoiled them!
Danny said he needed to have a talk with Santa about all the babies that Lily got for Christmas :)  Mason loved his fire truck and the 2 boxes of hot wheels cars, especially because grandma and grandpa Newman got him a hot wheels race track which has been a favorite toy.  Lily loves her babies and carries them everywhere.  Mason also got her a little pack n play for the babies, so she is fully accessorized!

I have to add that Mason wasn't sure about the whole Santa thing.  He was looking forward to Christmas because that meant that he got to open the presents under the tree, but he didn't want Santa to come to the house.  We tried to go see Santa at the mall and I think that scared him... he didn't understand that Santa comes while he sleeps and leaves presents.  But Christmas morning he got excited and decided to like him for obvious reasons!

The rest of the day we spent time playing with the toys from Santa and under the tree.  It was nice to be able to relax, open a present, play with it then move on to another one.  The kids were really cute and played nicely together.  For breakfast we had our traditional egg MAC muffins (get it, MacArthur!).  After lunch and nap time our good friends the Yeager's came over for dinner and games.  Overall it was an enjoyable day, and the kids slept good that night!

Here are some pictures from today, the day after Christmas.  Danny and I decided we are done with the tree, the mess and the mischief (ahem, Lily) so we took down the decorations and the lights.  Mason and Lily sure had fun helping, and playing with the lights!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, we sure missed being with our families on the other end of the country!  Love you all!!!
