18 months

On my birthday (April 19) Mason turned 18 months... yup my birthday is his half birthday and visa versa. And since it was a Sunday he got to go to nursery for the first time. He was a little hesitant at first and wanted to sit on Danny's lap. Then Danny got him in his own chair next to him, but Mason grabbed his leg and wouldn't let go, haha. But those smart teachers kept giving him things to hold during the lesson and songs and that distracted him enough that Danny could scoot the chair back and out of sight. He snuck out after about 15 mins. The teachers even took his binki out so they could take his picture, and he didn't care! AMAZING... last week was his second time and Danny just dropped him off no tears or anything with out a binki. He sat for the lessons and songs like a good boy then of course loved playing with the toys, especially the cars :) Whenever I ask him about nursery he always says "caaar, caaar" haha. Hopefully he will keep doing well, especially after the baby is born. Here are some other things Mason does or likes to do:

He does not like the windows rolled down in the car, even if it is super hot... he whines and points, and when we park the car to go into a store I roll them down to get some air flow while we are gone and I have to reassure him we will roll them up when we get back. And the first thing he does when we get into the car is whine and point for me to roll them up!

He loves nodding... If I ask him questions, he will most likely nod yes, unless he really doesn't want it then he will shake his head. Sometimes Danny and I can ask him 50 questions in a row and he smiles and nods... "Mason do you love Ralph?" nod, "Do you love your car bed?" nod "Are you from Mars?" nod... haha

He is officially moved in to his new room. We painted it a light blue and got him some car/truck sheets and comforter for his "new" bed. Thankfully our friends the Hassey's gave us another crib when they moved to California. So we have 2 cribs, phew because Mason is not ready for a toddler bed. He loves to be in his new room because I got him a road rug and put lots of his toy up there including his cars.

He can officially climb onto any chair and couch in the house. Which is a little scary since he get so excited and wants to jump around.

From his 18month doctor appointment:
Weight 27 lbs 4 oz, 75th percentile
Height 34 inches, 90th percentile
Head circumference 19 inches, a little above the 50th percentile

Words he says : ball, book, Ralph, car, cat, pig, mama (only when he is mad or whiny) uh-oh. He will make sounds for a monkey, cow, sheep, dog, lion, fish, snake, and duck. And he still does lots of signs including ones he made up for ice, binki and juggling, haha.

I know there are lots more things, but this is getting super long... I love you Mason and can't believe you are getting so big!!!

i like: "are you from mars?" *nods yes* Hahaha! That is too funny about the car windows. In a couple yrs Mason will do a 180 and be like my kids who get mad if you don't roll them ALL THE WAY down!

He's ET!!! LOL. That's a great story. He's so funny, he's gonna laugh when he's older and reads all of this and sees his pictures.
