We got a trampoline!

Grammy bought the kids a trampoline for their birthdays.  Let me tell you it has been the best thing ever, they love it.  The only problem in the summer we get direct sunlight in our backyard from about 7:00am to 4 or 5pm so it is HOT HOT HOT to jump.  But they didn't let that stop them.  These pictures are from the first day daddy put it together (in these pictures he hadn't put up the safety net up yet but it is now) it was so hot that day that Danny put the sprinkler under neath.  It brought back so many memories of my own childhood.  Now I am glad they will go play by themselves, safely in the net and I can sit on the deck and read, heaven!

Thanks Grammy, we love you! xoxo

Baby Judah

We love our little cousin Judah and the fact that he lives close enough to come an visit us :)  Mason calls him baby "Gouda" and some times Lily calls him baby JuJu which I love.

Lily tries to be a little too helpful :)

happy birthday surprises

My sister in law Kristi had a great idea to surprise her husband Jon for his birthday.  She had all his family and friends say happy birthday in a unique way and take a picture that she turned into a slide show for him.  I thought it was such a great idea, I am going to have to steal it from her I think.

Our first attempt was to have the kids be letters on the driveway but as you can see that didn't really work out.  Then we wrote on their tummies and they thought was fun.  Of course it didn't help to reinforce our rule that you can't draw on yourself, we are really great contradicting parents like that, haha.  Anyway here is our attempt for the birthday present!  Happy Birthday Uncle Jon!

Mason's snake

At our ward 4th of July party Mason got this cool snake painted on him.  He didn't want anything painted on his face but really wanted something because everyone else was getting one.  The funniest part was the closed his eyes and looked away the whole time like he was in a lot of pain.  Weird kid.  But he was so excited afterword, I think he may have even mumbled a thank you to the nice guy who painted it!

Poor Ralph

Ralph has to get groomed about every 2 months.  I am not that good of an owner because I should be brushing him more to makes sure he doesn't get matted.  Usually I get him brushed out right before his hair cut so they don't get mad at me, haha.  Well this time the groomer said his ears were to matted to get out and she would have to to shave them, but I asked her not to shave them that I would brush it out later.  Well they didn't listen and Ralph looked like a little rat.  Haha, poor thing!

Lily's birthday party :)

Lily was so lucky to have some of her favorite friends come over for a birthday party!  Clara, Mary Catherine, Kenna, Isabella and Chase, Daniel and Kaylie and Anna and Brina.  My best friend here in New York, Anjanette, made her cute cupcake cake!  And I am grateful because my cakes always turn out to be a disaster!  Look closely at all the detail she put on the cake. Lily had so much fun and loved all the attention, she is so different than Mason :)  We even lit the candles twice because she loved us singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles!

She loved opening up presents and did a really good job at saying thank you and giving hugs to her friends after she opened each one.  The best part is when Clara gave Lily a princess doll and a book.  The book was something about being a big sister.  I tried to play it off, but people figured out that I was pregnant.  I had only told my friend Allison, Clara's mom, no one else knew because I was only 7 weeks along.  Haha so at the point the secret was out which I think is pretty funny.

Happy 2nd Birthday baby girl, we love you!
