Mason turns 3!

This kid is one lucky kid, let me tell you!  The day before his birthday he saw a package arrive from grandma Newman.  I told him hey if he could get it open, go for it... well while I was cooking dinner he came in and showed me his brand new dinosaur train set (he managed to get all that package tape off!) and he loved it so much we had to put it together that night!  Stupidly I didn't take any pictures but I did get a video which I will have to get up later...

Here are some pictures from his birthday.  He woke up and went straight for the presents!  Note the bed head :)

He got lots of books from grammy

Thats my boy, lining them all up :)

This is my attempt at the fire truck cake he wanted, I followed some directions for a book.  It didn't turn out perfect but Mason liked to help make it.  It was actually really yummy carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!

We decided not to have a friend party this year, but his friend Clara came over so we had a fun singing happy birthday, blowing out candle and eating yummy cake!

Then we went to Wendy's for dinner because that is what he wanted.  He was especially pleased because we went inside which was a fun treat for him :)

Fall family pictures

It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon after church, and my neighbor gets the most beautiful golden light in her back yard, not to mention she actually has trees= leaves :)  Oh and a tire swing which Mason loves!

Lily was especially excited about the leaves!

We kept trying to get Mason to tell us how old he was going to be in a couple of days...

He uses his thumb when he tells us he will be three!

Counting his fingers :)

Oh they are so sweet!  I love them :)

I managed to get a fairly decent shot of the family.  Tripods and remotes are still tricky for me :)

Mason showing off the crown they gave him in nursery since it is his birthday this week!

apples and cameras

 Lily really loves apples!

And Mason is starting to love camera's just like his mama!

I haven't taken the pictures off this camera yet that he took, but some of them are pretty good... mostly there is a lot of unflattering pictures of me and lily :)

painting pumpkins

Instead of carving pumpkins this year we just went for painting them (Mason was the only big pumpkin)  Lily was happy just to watch thankfully because she is a disaster.  Mason's pumpkin ended up being purple after he mixed all of his colors together :)

Unfortunately his pumpkin didn't last long because he dropped it one too many times :(

Here is a better picture of some of the pumpkins we painted that night... Can you tell which one Mason did?
