Rasberry days at the "beach"

First of all I love him :)  He is such a great dad and I am so glad he was with me the majority of the time while were in Utah (minus 1 week)  I was still feeling TERRIBLE from this third pregnancy and he did a great job entertaining/playing/caring/feeding the kids!

There was only a little bit left of the "beach" when the water came up.  We went to check it out and of course the kids loved it.  I thought it was super gross, especially the water because all the weeds and sticky mud were right there, no sand :(  Someone did dump some real sand a little away from the water so that was nice for the kids to play in.

Random remembrance:  I had a hard time putting the right diaper on Lily.  I put a swim diaper on her in the boa t= pee in the boat since she never got in the water.  And then I put a real diaper on her at the beach = huge diaper bum full of lake water and sand.  Yup, I am awesome!

Rasberry Days on the boat

The lake came up about 20 feet this year so we said bye bye to the beautiful 100 yards of sandy beach and said hello to our private marina!  It was so nice to be able to jump in the boat at will and not have to tow it in every night.  Though I will say I do miss that lovely beach!

The kids did better this year with being on the boat.  They complained a little bit with the life jackets but for the most part were pretty good.  They both loved to watch people wakeboard and espeically loved it when that said person fell down :)  They also enjoyed trying to see fish in the marina and watch the water spray up and hit the boat when we went fast.

Mason willingly jumped in the lake to swim.  It took him a minute to get used to the cooler water but then he loved it!

Miss Lily also wanted to jump in because Mason did.  She however, did not like it so much!

Papa even joined in on the fun :)

Lily not so happy to be in the water...

But she did enjoy watching everyone else play!

Oh and funny story not caught on film.  Mason was really obsessed with wanting to push papa/daddy/brigham ANYONE off the boat and into the water.  He thinks it is pretty much the best idea in the world.  Finally papa let Mason push him in and it was great fun.

Well Lily wanted to join in on the fun.

But she would push, and grab onto papa.  The first time I was ready and I grabbed her so she didn't go in.  The second time Danny was in charge.  He grabbed her leg but she was wet so she slipped right out of his hand and into the water on top of papa.

She didn't like that, haha.  It was sad and funny, poor girl.  (She had a life jacket on so no worries) Luckily we got her in the water a little while later with me and she was happier, I didn't want her to gain any fear of the lake!

Raspberry Day Parade

A couple hours after we played with our red headed friends we headed up to Bear Lake for Raspberry Days!  They tricked us by changing the parade to a week night instead of Saturday morning so we timed it so we could see all the fun cars, people and of course get candy!

Mason and Lily of course sat right on the ground and played in the gravel/dirt while we were waiting for the parade to start!

Neither one of them was terribly excited about the parade because we have never been to one before.  Plus the lack of sleep added to their crabbiness.  At first they both freaked out because the big trucks kept honking and turning on sirens which was a little loud for their ears.  But they got over it as soon as the figured out they were throwing candy!

At the end they were all smiles, waving a people and asking for candy.  Oh and a cute random note there was a little boy standing next to us, probably a year older than Mason, he would grab some candy for himself and then help Mason get candy for his bag.  It was really sweet!

Then we got back to the cabin and the kids enjoyed some of their yummy candy!

Red headed friends

On our first official day after flying into Utah we met up with some of our red headed friends from NY!  That is right, at one time our families lived with in 5 minutes of each other, but the Newmans are the only ones left living in that state.  The Atkinson's live in Utah now, and the Hunters just happened to be visiting at the same time as us which is fortunate because now they live in North Carolina!  It was so much fun seeing our friends that we miss so much.  And the red hair is amazing!  No other families since them has moved in with red hair :(

Oh goodness baby Charlotte melts my heart, I LOVE red headed babies!

Tea and Ainsley are the best little friends!

And the attempt to get all the red heads together!

After the park we got Slurpees and Shop N Go, so yummy!

Thanks guys for coming to see us, we miss you!
