Nana and Grandpa visit

For some reason as I get more into my photography business I forget to take pictures when our wonderful family comes to visit.  This is the attempt on the last day to get some pictures with Nana and Grandpa before they head back to Seattle!  See if you can spy Danny ;)

Thanksgiving visit

It was so fun to have Kent and Denise, aka Nana and Grandpa come and visit for Thanksgiving.  We had a wonderful time, making a yummy dinner and of course we put them to work!  We painted the whole living room which makes me so happy and then Danny and his dad made a rope swing back in the forest and a zipline.  My favorite thing that was made by my awesome father in law is my brand new desk yay no broken ugly brown desk for me :)  I didn't get any pictures of the projects or of Thanksgiving dinner but I did get a few of the kids playing with their grandparents which is fun!

Playing guess who

And Coloring!

And I love surprise warm November days!

Danny's birthday present

I wanted to get something fun for Danny's birthday and a surprise.  We don't really do presents, we just get something and say oh hey this can be my birthday.  Sometimes we choose not to spend money on each other especially when we were working hard at getting out of debt.  Anyway Danny had talked about playing volleyball at different parks or just outside so I thought it would be great to get a good outdoor volleyball net that we could take around to different places.  I had one when I was in Utah and I loved it.  I thought of the net and looked online and ordered it not expecting it to be there until after his birthday.  Well much to my surprise it was delivered 2 days after I ordered it, amazing.  So we hid it downstairs and instead of wrapping it we decide to color it will all the kids and Kristi and Jon.  The kids loved it!  Then we brought it upstairs and sang happy birthday!  Danny also got some apple crisp and we had a turkey dinner the next day( Sunday his actual birthday), though most of us were sick so we didn't really get to enjoy it haha.  Good thing we spent the early part of the weekend celebrating otherwise it would have been an extra huge bummer!

Bowling

I wanted to do something fun for Danny's birthday since a lot of  his family happened to visiting on the big day.  Since his birthday was on a Sunday we decided to go bowling on Friday afternoon and just have a big birthday weekend.  Bowling was really fun more most of it.  Lily didn't take a nap, surprise surprise, and was pretty crabby.  Actually Mason was pretty crabby and mopy too if he didn't get his way.  But when they were happy it was really fun and I enjoyed it.  Kristi the preggers beat everyone which was awesome!  I loved watching the little kids try and carry the balls to the lane and push it down the ramp or put it on the ground and push it to the pins.  Right at the very beginning we weren't watching Lily and she grabbed a ball and rolled it down the lane, she wanted it back so she ran onto the lane only to quickly fall on her behind.  She then tried to stand up only to fall again and that scared her.  Those lanes sure are slippery!  Once she got over that shock she had fun and wanted to keep rolling the balls even when it wasn't her turn or the pins weren't cleared yet. Judah was so cute pushing the balls down the ramp, and his shirt was a little too small so his cute belly button kept peeking out :) Another funny moment was when I was nursing Oliver Danny bowled for me and got me to strikes in a row, what a loving husband!

Then after bowling we went out for pizza which is Danny's favorite :)  Here are a couple of random iPhone pictures.  First Mason figured out how to use a knife to cut his food.  Then while we were waiting Danny got the kids a stick on tattoo (which ended up being too good, we had to use nail polish remover to get them off over a week later.  And then of course a picture of them falling asleep in the car on a 7 minute car ride :)
