I am not too worried about the paint I am going to use because I will have plates and place mats for Hobbes. I am just making sure to do a high gloss paint so it is easy to clean.
But as for a high chair, my suggestion would be to call up or go to a paint store, not like home depot but an actual store that only sells paint and ask them about it. I am sure they have some organic/environmentally safe paints that would be best to use, but make sure that it is a high gloss paint or it will be really hard to clean.

I am a "blonde" wife to a red headed hubby, and mommy to two red headed children and one blonde curly hair cherub. We have a white fluffy dog named Ralph. Writing isn't my forte, so I take pictures instead!

Sorry I wasn't more help.
