In like a lion

We have had the craziest winter.  It has been warm and no snow, exempt for the little one inch snow storm in January and the freak so snow storm last October.  Anyway we were actually really excited when on the first day of March we got about 8 inches of nice heavy wet snow.  Danny had to go to work that day but luckily Nana was here so I could go outside and play with the kids.  The snow was perfect for making a snow man.  I really made it in about 10 minutes.  The kids really loved playing in it especially since I fixed up there mittens to stay on and keep their wrists warm.  They also both really loved sledding and throwing snowballs.  Lily spent the majority of the time eating snow, haha.  When we built the snow man we made sure we put faces on both sides, that way we could see one from the kitchen and then the people from the street could also see a face.  It took a minute to find sticks for arms, but Mason knew of a stash buried under the snow.  We found rocks for eyes and buttons and then we got some baby carrots for the nose.  Then I grabbed a scarf, hat and mittens to finish Frosty off!  Ralph also really liked the snow and his hair is so long that he got snowballs stuck to his legs, it was really cute and funny.  Luckily it didn't seem to bother him!
